      Stephen Hawking was a world-famous physicist and cosmologist. He was born in 1942 in Oxford, England. Hawking was a brilliant student, and in 1962 he was accepted into Cambridge University to study mathematics. In 1963, Hawking was diagnosed with motor neuron disease. Doctors told him he had only a few years to live. Despite his illness, Hawking continued to study and work. In 1974, he published his first major work, “A Brief History of Time”. The book was a huge success and made Hawking a household name. In the 1980s and 1990s, Hawking continued to work on his theories about the universe. He also became a public figure, appearing on television and in films. Hawking died in 2018, but his work continues to inspire scientists all over the world.

      Rosa Parks is one of the most famous figures in the civil rights movement. She was born in 1913 in Tuskegee, Alabama. In 1955, Parks was arrested for refusing to give up her seat on a bus to a white person. Her arrest sparked a mass boycott of the bus system in Montgomery, Alabama. The boycott was a success, and in 1956 the Supreme Court ruled that segregated busing was unconstitutional. Parks continued to work for civil rights until her death in 2005. She remains an inspiration to people all over the world. Amelia Earhart Amelia Earhart was a world-famous aviator. She was born in 1897 in Kansas, United States. Earhart was the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. In 1932, she made a non-stop flight from New York to Los Angeles. In 1935, Earhart attempted to fly around the world. She made it two-thirds of the way before disappearing over the Pacific Ocean. Her disappearance is still a mystery. Earhart’s story continues to inspire people all over the world.
